Luke Buchanan is a 24 year-old male working in real estate in Washington, D.C. He enjoys working on his blog, www.LukeBuchanan.com, and doing volunteer photography at pet adoption events for www.petfinder.com, political events for www.HispanicLink.org, as well as notable attractions and nature settings in the D.C. area. Luke Buchanan grew up in Washington, D.C. with three brothers - two that are five years older and one who is his age. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment around the house. Luke Buchanan's early years were highlighted by sports (lacrosse, tennis, football, hockey, and wrestling), girls, and the usual teenage shenanigans. In 2007, Luke Buchanan started at Tulane undergrad, where he double majored in Environmental Studies and Communication, played Mens' Club Lacrosse, and served as Pledge-Class President for his Fraternity. New Orleans is the perfect location for a work-hard-play-hard mentality, and he did just that. Post graduation, Luke Buchanan accepted an offer at an Advertising/PR firm in Santa Monica, packed his bags, and moved out West. Advertising is like AMC’s “Mad Men” - they lost a major client and a tumultuous acquisition ensued. Content with his stay in California and ready to call it quits on corporate advertising, Luke Buchanan decided to return home. But not before enjoying the perks of unemployment for a few months! Maybe he could have “pulled himself up by his boot straps” - or whatever the saying is – instead, Luke Buchanan couch hopped for several months, paddle-boarding in Marina Del Ray, and cycling around Malibu.
